Our Story
Hey there! We are Joe and Katie Jimenez, the couple behind Switchback Suites. We purchased our boutique hotel in 2023 and remodeled the entire thing, even adding two brand new suites!
When you stay with us, not only are you supporting a locally owned small business, but you get to experience the Southern hospitality we strive to provide for each and every one of our guests.
You’re not just another person, staying at a big chain hotel. You’re our guest, staying in a boutique hotel that we’ve personally put lots of love and care into and we want you to feel right at home.

Meet Joe & Katie
Joe
I have always loved the mountains, so when Katie and I got the opportunity to make the move to Montana, it felt like a dream come true.
Hiking is my passion and have climbed peaks all over the world! I also love to travel, learn about real estate and finances and listen to podcasts and audio books.
Owning and managing Switchback Suites has been quite the adventure and it has really put everything I’ve learned over the years to the test.
Fun fact: each mural you see in our suites is either a peak in Glacier National Park that I’ve climbed or a mountain in the Valley I have skied.

From the time I was little, I always thought it would be cool to own a hotel one day. Little did I know, that dream would become a reality! It has been quite the adventure remodeling and operating our little boutique hotel, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
In addition to operating Switchback Suites, I also plan weddings for some amazing couples who dream of getting married in the beautiful mountains of Montana. I have been a wedding planner for over 12 years and absolutely love what I do! My Summers stay busy with An Epic Elopement and Big Day Celebrations and all of the amazing elopements and weddings I get the honor of planning!
